Step 1: DO NOT ENTER
If you suspect you have measles and are high risk, please do not enter the hospital and put on a mask.
Step 2: CALL AHEAD
Call 519-364-2340 ext.0 to connect to a health care provider for next steps.
Step 3: WAIT IN YOUR VEHICLE
Measles is highly contagious. To keep others safe, please wait in your vehicle as we prepare an isolation space.
You are at high risk of measles if:
- You are unvaccinated or undervaccinated for measles
- You have been exposed to measles
- You have been informed by Public Health that you are a contact of a case
And if you have the following symptoms:
- Fever
- Runny nose
- Cough
- Aching/Feeling unwell
- Rash
- Sore Eyes
A: A HDH Lab requisition is required in order to receive out-patient services. Out-patient services are available Monday-Friday from 9am – 12pm by booked appointment.
To make an appointment patients can call Patient Registration/ Appointment Booking Office at 519-364-
2340 ext. 260, Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please ensure you have your health card ready when calling. Bring in your paper requisition when arriving for your appointment.
Please note that Life Labs is located in the basement floor of the Hanover Medical Associates and not within Hanover & District Hospital.

A: No, as of September 29, 2023, you can pick up water sample collection kits and drop of completed samples for Public Health Ontario's well water testing program at:
