What specifically does the Foundation fund?

The Hanover and District Hospital Foundation is the fundraising arm for the Hanover and District Hospital. It is committed to raising funds for capital projects and building additions of the Hospital.

Does the Foundation issue charitable tax receipts?

Yes! The Hanover and District Hospital Foundation’s registered charity number is 12678 1442 RR0001 and issues tax receipts accordingly for every donation over ten dollars.

How are contributions recognized?

The Hanover and District Hospital Foundation is extremely grateful for our friends and supporters, and we are forever indebted to those who have had such a positive impact on our community. Contributions to the Foundation are recognized accordingly. The Donor Recognition Program offers donors an opportunity to perpetuate their name, or the name of a loved one, while giving the Hanover and District Hospital Foundation the opportunity to say “thank you”.
All donors are recognized in the Donor Book on display at the Hanover and District Hospital. Recognition is based on the level of gift.

Which credit cards does the Foundation accept?

Foundation payments can be made using Visa or Mastercard.

Does the Foundation sell or give my name to other organizations?

No. The Foundation respects the rights and privacy of its donors.

How do I remove or how do I add my name to the mailing list?

To remove or add your name to the Foundation’s mailing list, please contact Sue Paterson, Foundation Coordinator at (519) 364-2341 x 203.

How can our company donate funds from a third-party event?

Donations from third-party events – such as golf tournaments - are strongly welcomed. Please contact Sue Paterson, Foundation Coordinator at (519) 364-2341 x 203 for more details.

How can I arrange to have guests make a donation to the Foundation in lieu of gifts for my wedding/birthday/anniversary/graduation?

Donations in your honour are strongly welcomed. Please contact Sue Paterson, Foundation Coordinator at (519) 364-2341 x 203 for more details.

- If I make a memorial or a tribute gift, will the Foundation send a card to the bereaved family or person being honoured?

Yes. The Donor will receive a thank you and a tax-receipt, and a card will be issued to the person or family being honoured.
