Hanover and District Hospital provides a full range of primary-care hospital services and selected secondary-care services to the population of Hanover and the surrounding rural townships.
The original hospital was established in 1923 and a new acute care hospital was built in 1973. It is a state-of-the-art facility with a 24 hour emergency department.
The Hospital’s vision is to be a model for rural community health care and service delivery, and its primary goal is to promote and maintain the best health for all the people it serves.

That Hanover and District Hospital's staff care about each other. The Wellness Team organizes at least 4 fun mood lifters a year. It might be a free cup of "Timmy's" or juice on "Timmy's Day" a "Cruise to No Where" during the winter with games and a BBQ; or it might be the annual "Old Family Picnic".
